November 30, 2006 - New Camera installed at lower Erebus hut
Undergraduate student from New Mexico Tech installed a new web cam at the lower Erebus hut. The camera is pointed at the summit of Mt. Erebus and may become a permanent fixture. Currently, snapshots are taken once per minute and can be viewed HERE.
November 28, 2006 - Field team to lower Erebus hut
The 2006-2007 Mt. Erebus field team successfuly moved to the volcano-based observatory at the lower Erebus hut after a brief acclimitization stay at the Fang glacier.
